Movie: 'The Rise & Rise of Bitcoin' Documentary Download

Where is the actual link to download the torrent? Every link on that page downloads a .dmg installer file for an app.

Pretty nice film. I don't really have any particular thoughts on it one way or the other. Obviously as a whole it puts a positive spin.

Can't imagine how rich some of those early adopters became though, back when 10,000 bitcoins was enough to buy a pizza...

Finally. Torrent here...

Spreading has been encouraged as far as I've heard, so nothing illegal here by sharing.

I'd like to hear your thoughts after watching. :)

Yeah, it seemed like the filmmakers knew they wouldn't be able to stop people from torrenting so they are just goin with it and posted an address for donations.

Hi, this is Ben Bledsoe, one of the producers of The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin. If you downloaded a torrent and enjoyed the film, please consider making a donation. Our Bitcoin address is https://blockchain.info/address/19xb2pAzyv7feFkBhbh3n3rtBJ9JPTufm

Thanks, Ben

I thought it was a pretty good film and was well made.

It obviously appeals to current Bitcoiners, but they did a pretty good job at explaining stuff so it can also be watched by people that don't know anything about Bitcoin.

I thought it was very good. I thought it could have touched on a couple more things, like how the underlying logic of it works (like there being virtually an unlimited number of accounts/address and there is a private key associated with each one and anyone can claim as many accounts/addresses as they want) and that all of the panics and bankruptcies have been the result of human error and govt regulation, not the underlying bitcoin.

Human error is one of the biggest hurdles bitcoin will have to get past. People who are not informed do not understand just how many precautions you need to take to prevent your bitcoins from being stolen. It's not like getting your Facebook hacked. If someone obtains your private key, or if *anyone* uses the same private key as you, or if you lose it, then your money is irreversibly gone. Same goes for any third party, if you trust a third party (online wallet service) to manage your bitcoins. Apparently some of these new third parties are either crooks or haven't done enough to protect that sensitive data.
