Most Believe Biden Admin Allowing Gas Prices to Rise to Get Americans off Fossil Fuels

HANNAH BLEAU 10 Jun 2022

Most voters believe the Biden administration is allowing gas prices to rise to force Americans to use less fossil fuel, a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey released Friday found.

The survey asked, “Do you believe the Biden Administration is intentionally letting gas prices rise to make Americans use less fossil fuels?”

Most, 53 percent, said “yes,” they believe the Biden administration is allowing it to happen purposely to force Americans to use less fossil fuel. Another 39.6 percent, however, do not believe that is the case, and 7.4 percent are unsure.

Opinions are divided along party lines. Over three-quarters of Republicans, 77.3 percent, and 56.5 percent of independents believe the Biden administration is deliberately allowing gas prices to rise for those purposes. Most Democrats, 68.7 percent, disagree and do not believe the administration is doing so.

The survey was taken May 25-29, 2022, among 1,091 likely general election voters and has a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent. It comes as gas prices broke yet another record high on Friday, jumping to $4.986 overnight, according to AAA. That reflects a 22 cent rise in the last week and a 61 cent rise in the last month.

All the while, the Biden administration has refused to take responsibility for ever-rising prices under Biden’s presidency, ignoring the fact that he attacked American energy independence on day one by nixing the Keystone Pipeline and continued the trend by rejoining the Paris Climate Accord and canceling oil and gas leases. In recent months, Biden has placed the blame on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, even though prices were on the rise far before that event.

“Here’s what your president did when he first came to office,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) told Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm during a hearing last month.

“He immediately reentered the Paris Climate Accord. He canceled the Keystone Pipeline. He halted leasing programs in ANWR. He issued a 60-day halt on all new oil and gas leases and drilling permits on federal lands and waters. That’s nationwide,” he said.

“He directed federal agencies to eliminate all supports for fossil fuels. He imposed new regulations on oil and gas and methane emissions. Those were all just in the first few days. Are you telling me that had no effect on our energy supply?” he asked as Granholm remained in denial.

To wean us from fossil fuels?

Or to make Hunter rich?

Or to make it difficult for truck drivers to continue to be uppity?

Or to impoverish us, destroy the middle class, and complete the wealth transfer to the already wealthy?

Or because he wants all vehicles of extended range and decent capacity, especially if they're off-road capable, to fall into disrepair, because they're more useful tools of insurrection than AR-15s?

(Spoiler alert: All of the above)

If that was true he wouldn't be releasing oil from the emergency reserves. Politicians number one priority is to get re-elected and right now he needs to lower gas prices to help that.

This is why I was happy that Trump lost. We were already overdue for price inflation followed by an economic collapse either way based on 12 years of borrowing and spending. At least now we can blame it correctly on socialism and maybe get someone like Rand Paul for president. If Trump was still in office it would be blamed on capitalism and we'd be looking at Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren or AOC.

Biden is making it worse but he's not the primary cause of inflation. Bush, Obama and Trump were all big spenders and money printers leading us down the path of socialism. This was just the inevitable result.

What about Reagan and Clinton?

The reserve releases seem to be a spit in the ocean, assuming he wasn't lying about doing it all along. And getting reelected won't require any more input from the public than getting elected did.

You seem to be operating on outdated paradigms.

They are doing exactly what they told you they were going to do. He does not care since he is not going to run again. The Dems don't care since they will run a new candidate that can work around it without the blame baggage.

One thing about the Democrats is they stay truth their beliefs and do not compromise their belief's away to the fake opposition on the right.

Debt was probably around 10 trillion when bush left office. Rate we are going it'll be 31 trillion by end of next week , so the past 20 plus trillion in 13 1/2 yrs is all obummer , trump and biden. So while the others were bad its hard to be in the pelosi - schumer -biden obama - biden league. Also right now they are bringing in record tax revenue and there is no reason now not to expect no economic growth for much of 2022 and 2023.

Look, lets be clear here.

Preventing you the ability to TRAVEL IS THEIR PLAN.

Electric cars dont work with out electricity, which will soon be rationed, and gas powered cars dont work without gas.

This is TIP OF THE ICEBERG.

First come high prices. Food and Gas. Are you paying attention? Next thing is there are SHORTAGES. Yes both FOOD AND GAS SHORTAGES. Then its just all downhill from there. People KILL EACH OTHER for gas and food. Gas to escape the insanity of the starving in the major urban areas, and Food causes MILLIONS TO STARVE.

You are only NINE MEALS AWAY FROM ANARCHY. So long as we keep replenishing the food supply, we hold anarchy at bay. But its not staying at 9 any more. The count down has begun.
