Minnesota GOP doing some soul searching after eviction from power (friends quoted)

good article.

They are trying to blame Ron Paul supporters. This is just crazy. It was ROMNEY that made voters sit home and allowed Obama the win.

Parrish criticized the Paul supporters, who dominated the 2012 GOP state convention, for foisting policy positions that voters strongly rejected.

FWIW most state GOP leaders are doing the same thing now. I know in NH there is shake ups going on. The shake up being more and more Ron Paul supporters are sitting on committees and boards.

The main thing in NH is making sure we have enough people in counties to ensure Rand is not cheated in 2016.

If we can court Lamontage's voters from his 2010 Senate primary then i'm predicting victory in the presidential primary for Rand based on Ron taking over 20%, we only need 15% more and the votes are there as Lamontage came close against Ayotte and was then the gubernatorial nominee.

Getting Lamontage on board will be key to victory in NH, or at least identifying those voters who gave him such a strong showing in '10.

There is a significant conservative and liberty vote in NH and that's proven over the last two cycles. I'd put it at about 50% and we probably only need 35-40 to win, the rest will vote for 'moderate' establishment types but who cares :0

Later, after dominating the state convention, they were thrown in the gutter at the RNC in Tampa, where the establishment foisted policy positions designed to marginalize them, so as not to disturb the coronation of Romney. Who voters strongly rejected.

It's a shame. Had Sarah Palin not flown in to anoint Kelly Ayotte as a Mamma Grizzly, Lamontagne would be in the Senate now...

Well, he might have the governor's mansion coming up, mightn't he? I'm not totally sold on him, but I think he is in the top 15%. There are so very few really good ones.
