Heard earlier today that he had posted this on facebook, which I don't have. This is the first article online I've seen about it:
http://hub.contactmusic.com/story/g...appearances-following-missouri-ruling_4480527

Country singer Garth Brooks has cancelled several U.S. Tv promotional appearances in the wake of violent nationwide protests surrounding a Missouri grand jury's decision not to charge a police officer who shot and killed unarmed teenager Michael Brown in August (14).

The Dance hitmaker was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show, Live! with Kelly and Michael and Today this week (begs24Nov14), but he has axed all three because he felt the promotional stops would seem "distasteful".

In a message on Facebook.com, he writes, "We landed in Ny last night to the news of the civil unrest that was going on in our nation.

"To spend the day promoting our stuff like nothing was wrong, seemed distasteful to me. I will gladly reschedule any or all appearances the networks will allow. Love one another."

Even Churches have been burnt.

[h=1]Church attended by Michael Brown's family destroyed during Monday night's protests[/h]
  • Missouri church attended by Michael Brown's father family was one of a dozen or so buildings burned to the ground during Monday night's protests
  • While the majority of buildings destroyed were in downtown Ferguson, the Flood Christian Church is located some three miles away
  • Pastor Carlton Lee said he believes that white supremacists rather than protesters were to blame for the destruction

I just heard that Michael Jackson was leading a riot in Lexington, Kentucky... raw footage below:

I heard that they shut down a spot on I35 in Dallas tonight. It accomplishes nothing except for making people hate them. Nobody is going to change their mind about this case by having traffic on a very busy interstate shutdown. Instead it will only make conservatives even more angry than they were already.

Fuck, thanksgiving is almost here and I guarantee that I'll have to listen to a bunch of racist relatives talk about Ferguson.

In Milwaukee they are protesting for both Dontre Hamilton and Mike Brown.

A little bit about Dontre Hamilton:

The PD actually fired the cop after he gunned down Dontre 14 times. It took them 6 months but they actually fired him, which the HERO of course has appealed and until now no charges have been filed. Sounds like the family continues to put the heat on.

You know, it makes it even sadder to think this happened to Michael Brown when he had such positive role models in his life.

I think he was saying his britches were coming down, and people mistook it for 'burn this bitch down.'

You are not going to believe where the largest demonstration was last night...

London! in front of the US embassy - 1,000 protesters, no arrests, no rioting.

The first night there were demonstrations in 24 cities, last night in 100 cities. Ferguson is expecting protests to resume when the weather gets better - Monday and Tuesday.
