How important is this conference in regards to bringing ron paul supporters to it? Should this be something we should be pushing in our states section? We have until sept 5th to order tickets while keeping them under 200 dollars per ticket otherwise they get bumped to 250 per ticket... so i guess the real question is , Is it more important to bring people to this conference or to spend the 200 dollars per ticket on a donation to the campaign? It is on Oct 7 and 8th. http://www.midwestleadershipconference.com/index.cfm ....... Brian Handeland P.S. Any MN ron paul fans that want to add me on facebook feel free.

Is there a straw poll? I didn't see anything on their website about one, although it still looks like a good opportunity to promote our guy if you can make it.

Any results on the Straw Poll? I know that Ron Paul's supporters were the only ones who set up a table at the conference.

One of the days overlaps with the YAL bootcamp in Iowa.

Interesting point. I am all for voting for Ron Paul in straw polls and have done so :) but personally, I think it is more important for young people (that event is expensive) and anyone that plans to run for office or help run a campaign in the next couple years to attend the Young Americans for Liberty Campaign Bootcamp ( http://www.yaliberty.org/bootcamps/iowa ) so that they can get some excellent training and learn about future training events. I'd say if someone doesn't fit into one of those categories (and has the money), and especially if they live in the Twin Cities area, go to the straw poll. I'm sorry, but I'm a serious supporter of YAL.

In all fairness though, the events are 4 hours and 45 minutes away from each other so I doubt many people were planning on attending both events.
