NPR has really let me down lately with their debate wrap ups, but this was nice to hear this morning.

"Ron Paul starting to slowly pick up support, he might actually come in third here". That would make for a pretty good youtube clip.

Well, it's an improvement.

I want to take second in Iowa. Tough against Romney with his money and organiztion in the state and against the FairTax.org folk who are using Huckabee to promote their flat-tax agenda.

If he came in third, I hope he doesn't Dean scream, we should do that for him.

Forget the darn polls, they are not that useful, keep hammering, never STOP

I've got to quibble... FairTax.org doesn't support a flat tax. It's a sales tax.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I would still see 5th place and above as a success, since we would've beaten a "frontrunner." I'm glad that we're being considered a possible 3rd - that would be absolutely amazing, and would guarantee some more airtime, better (more respectful) interviews, and maybe an end to the freaking "will you run independent?" question. :)

Third in Iowa would be pretty good for a candidate who wants to end farm subsidies and doesn't give lip service to their most popular deity. After that and a victory in NH, he'd be well on his way.

Yes, but we're capable of taking so much more than that if we push hard. :)

So true. I'm glad that there seems to be a surge in the amount of attention being paid to Iowa (instead of just NH).

I think that if Giuliani, Thompson, and McCain campaign heavily the last couple of weeks, they could easily take some votes from Mitt Huckabee. Obviously, that helps one guy. ;)

do you gain points or something from placing in 2nd or 3rd that can help you down the road?

Weren't some people trying to get Clint to endorse Ron? What.... is up.... with that? :)
