Mitt Romney Meet his Foreign Policy Team. Wtf. (via The American Conservative)

The Monster That Wouldn’t Die

Like vampires risen from the dead each night, these creatures who shun the light and feast on pain and suffering, are refreshed and ready to take wing again. What they seek is what makes them feel alive and energizes them to want more, and that is war. They are the War Party, and they are Democrats and Republicans. They are columnists and publishers and academics, as well as politicians and publicists. They don’t have much of a mass base: they prefer to work in the shadows, manipulating rather than inspiring. By such Machiavellian means have they managed to stay viable, in spite of the disasters they have wrought through the years – giving them more scope for fresh disasters yet to be imagined.

Looks like the only thing that's gonna change.......are the drapes......YYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

This is a perfect opportunity for Sarah Palin to come out against the "permanent political class". Think she will do it?

Nice Marketing and Sales @team Romney... they really know how to exploit and use the visuals, prior establishment hacks(Name Recognition) for the viewing/listening audiences

Mitt Romney is giving a BS Foreign Policy speech tomorrow at the Citadel 10:30 - 11:30AM eastern standard time - 7:30-8:30AM PST

PER the ROMNEY drone:
Mitt will deliver a home run with his foreign policy speech. This may make foreign policy more prominent in next week's debate - Perry and Cain will flub the 3am questions and Mitt will sound like he's been secretary of state for the last decade.

FOREIGN POLICY SPEECH: When Fri, October 7, 8:30am – 9:30am Where The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina Buyer Auditorium Mark Clak Hall 171 Moultrie Street Charleston, SC

Description “Sean, I think there’s been a lot of discussion around the country about what the future looks like and this planet of ours and particularly what America’s role will be. There’s a book written recently called the ‘Post American Century,’ ‘Post American World,’ that is.

There have been discussions about the decline of America. I think our President has pursued a series of strategies that lead to our decline economically and militarily. And so in that context, I am going to be talking about a very different vision. Obviously you know my inclination having read the book that I wrote about the need for America to be strong not just militarily but economically. So, I’ll be talking on that topic and talk about what changes we have to put in place to keep America the leader of the world.”

With the Citadel as Romney's backdrop (also known as the military college of SC), Romney will deliver his foreign policy speech tomorrow morning (Oct 7th) in the Buyer Auditorium in Charleston at 10:45 AM ET.

It will be fascinating to see if other candidates like Rick Perry and Herman Cain ever put together detailed plans on economics and foreign policy and staff them like this
