Media pretending Ron's 4000 person events in MI aren't happening

I just spoke with my brother who lives in Michigan. He didn't even think Paul was still running. He says everyone is only talking about two candidates (frothy and mittens) and most people in his circle think that those are the only two left. I can't blame him because he works 60+ hours a week, but I figured that you all should know just how bad the media manipulation actually is.

I welcome freedom of speech and support everyones right to express their feelings but you come across like a real depressing sort of character; a doomsday type whose glass is always half empty.

Ron Paul is on the brink of a surge and doing great everywhere, polling higher than Obama, pulling 4,000 people to a rally and here amongst all the positivity you appear as the grim reaper.

Try being positive and smiling, you'll find life so much more enjoyable.

I have lots of hope, because I live in the free state ;)

In all seriousness, anyone who thought this was going to be a one year battle is deluding themselves. Restoring liberty is a generational effort, and that's true whether Paul gets elected or not. We need to do what we can to spread the ideas of liberty through the RP campaign, and then continue to do everything we can to defend and restore liberty after the presidential election is over.

Really though, if you're feeling discouraged or alone, moving to NH and getting involved here is a great cure.

In what sense is Ron Paul still "in it"? You mean just that his name's on the ballot?

The media covers the candidates that have won. It is just the reality of the situation. Fred Karger is still running and is on the MI ballot and the media isn't covering him either.

I really don't understand how anyone around here has even an inkling of hope left.. I guess super Tuesday should destroy the remaining hopes and dreams of even the most deeply disillusioned. This race is over for Ron, just as I predicted it would be without an early win. The media is back to ignoring while he polls at 12% nationally and we didn't bother to develop our own way of effectively spreading our own anti-propaganda. This is not being defeatist, this is being objective. The delegate race is the only thing Ron has going for him and even that wont matter since there isn't going to be a brokered convection, and if there is going to be one I predict Ron will not win it, because anyone who payed attention thus far knows that they'll make sure of it.

p.s.: I almost didn't want to write this post, but I just couldn't help myself. Hopefully I wont get banned again.

It's been over since Iowa, but "hopes and dreams" are all that are left with the prospect of four years of Obama or Romney ahead of us...

The Detroit Free press wrote up his Hudsonville event with 1300 people plus 100+ turned away as 'before the event' (an hour before) there were 400 people in line.

The AP had a 'typo' and made that '40' people while running another story that Gingrich and Paul 'were not contesting' AZ and MI. The AP stories were each picked up across the nation by subscribing periodicals and were the primary media on Paul the last two days, besides the 'Romney and Paul conspiracy theory'.

This is the line in question, really, you must watch the video if you haven't:

and here is a picture tweeted by EMBEDDED MEDIA of the MSU crowd who you would think would put out a story showing the AP story to be nonsense:

that he's drawing thousands and if the media covered him as they cover others with those numbers, some enthusiasm would naturally grow. He does still have a chance to win, but they are making darned sure that anything they can do so that after super Tuesday he won't, they do.

I see all of that, I'm not blind nor am I depressed. I'm just being objective and I recognize that the big problem: it doesn't translate into votes which is what really matters. (yes delegates matter more but given the corruption I seriously doubt they don't know how to control that aspect and prevent Ron a win)

But you do what you have to do. I wish you'd succeed, I just can't objectively see more than a microscopic tiny chance of you actually pulling it off.

Learn some self-control. I have often agreed with your opinions (regardless if I posted after you or not) but this time you're so far off the mark, I hope you do get banned.

Focus on getting and becoming delegates, I wouldn't pay any attention to the popular vote at this point.

Even if it's too late for this election, 4,000 in attendance is still hope for our future. The campaign needs to push on for the cause of liberty beyond this single election! We all need to push on for the future of this country!

It doesn't translate into votes BECAUSE the media makes a huge deal of saying 'he isn't contesting' a state where he is drawing thousands in attendance. If the covered him objectively this would turn into votes.

regardless of the outcome I am motivated at this point to take over the local GOP with like-minded folks... the path to cleaning up the BS has an early stop at "take control of the voting and reporting system to make it verifiable and clean".

OMG, Sailing, Is that you......? :D

Then you aren't playing to win. You are a spectator. This forum is for players. Leave.

BTW. One day you will die. All your actions will be forgotten and your life is meaningless. I'll try to keep reminding you of this as often as I can for fun. Just being objective.

There are always neigh sayers. The truth is our campaign is sitting in second place so far in the delegate count and we are growing everyday. There are always depressing sorts who spend their lives looking for the negative in everything. It doesn't change the fact we are surging and that if we don't get the nomination Obama will get a second term.
