In an article of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bush will not act to renominate present FEC Chairman, David Mason, a fellow Republican, for his steadfastness in insisting McCain receive FEC approval before he can withdraw from the FEC public financing program.

Problem solved.

Ok, so the cyber-article doesn't actual print the important part. I will post it here, taken from the actual AJC article: "...President Bush also decided last week to pull a pending renomination of the current chairman of the commission, David M. Mason, a Republican. Mason raised questions this year about McCain's right to withdraw from the public financing system for the primary."

Actually, Knightskye's posting at Bush Introduces Slate of FEC Nominations to Break Deadlock! explains the extent of political corruption John McCain is willing to engage in at the FEC to become president better than the AJC article.

So Bush is forcing McCain into a bad light in front of McCain's supporters?

McCain is already encouraging major soft-money, which he supposedly condemned with McCain-Feingold. He's been encouraging fat cats to contribute up to 70k to state and national GOP in order to finance GOTV and other operations.

Fuck John McCain, Fuck George Bush, Fuck the FEC.

did I forget anyone?

I hope so. I can't stand McCain. Everything about this guy makes him unelectable. This bastad is crooked to the bone. And yet somehow people out there in our country want this asshole to be President of the United States.

Since we don't have a FEC anymore why do they bother following any of the rules?
