Unbeleivable. In a nation that is 70% against war, it looks like the American electorate wants to overwhelmingly vote in the most pro-war candidate in recent history.

A man who finished at the bottom of his graduating class in the Navy

A man that regularly swears violently at colleagues

A man that has been quoted saying flat out racist things again and again

A man that wanted amnesty for millions of illegal mexicans

A man that crashed a near record FIVE planes while a pilot - almost entirely due to gross incompetance

McCain may be the most disgusting man to ever run for president, excluding Giuliani. And Americans want him?!?!?! Good god.

Polls are biased. They know who to call and what response they will get based on previous polls. It's like a game of twenty questions. They narrow the field and selectively call people that fit into a certain mold. Most Americans do not realize this. There in lies the problem.

Nothing wrong with polls. But this is just a snapshot.

Put McCain on a stage next to either Obama or Clinton -- and he'll be dwarfed.

He won't win against Hitlery though, I am 100% sure the dems have all kinds of dirt on him and are holding back until the general election

Obama and Clinton can tare down Mccain with ease, especially when it comes to the war

what is up with rassmusen? Yesterday or weds they published poll numbers about how a 3rd party candidate would alter the race, and the numbers for head to head had the dems beating McCain

In a race between Mr. Obama and Mr. McCain, Mr. Obama's 5-point lead grows to a 7-point lead when Messrs. Bloomberg and Paul are added to the equation.

According to polls six months ago, Rudy Giuliani was going to clean up and easily beat the other Republican nominees. Those of us who used our heads and gave some consideration to things like name recognition, media buzz, and the actual strengths of the underlying candidates knew this was not a lasting state of affairs.
In the same vein, I can assure you that McCain versus Obama is on a par with Bambi versus Godzilla. The polls are not (all) *rigged*, exactly, but don't let them convince you of something totally at variance with common sense.

They say that now but they really want him to be the candidate that Hill n Bill eat for lunch. He has no prayer against them, either Clinton could debate circles around him.

Well, back in 72' when about 100% of the nation came to the conclusion Viet Nam was a disaster, a guy named Richard Nixon absolutely demolished the anti-war Dem candidate, George McGovern. Didn't make sense then, and doesn't make sense now.

I wonder if Rush (and co) would unite behind an independent run of someone they could consider "conservative".
