May I suggest that you hire a Parliamentarian to help you with this.

During the last election cycle at the County level, we could have stopped the BS from the get-go...

I had a conversation with the County Chairman, who informed me that McCain was not his first, second, nor third choice, and that the 'directive from above', was to back McCain.

Needless to say, I was blown away... So much for the peoples voice...

I was selected as a delegate, simply by showing up! (So was my wife!)

When it came time to offer to become a state delegate, 5 people showed up to be interviewed, most were selected by 'cards on file'.

If we knew what we were doing at the County meeting, to back a real candidate instead of backing someone chosen by a 'directive from above'...

After studying the 'Roberts Rules'...

Should we hire Professional Parliamentarians, use the diamond method, and steer these meetings towards Liberty, from Local, to County, to State, to National?

Interesting links below. Any thoughts?

What?

Who was this "directive from above" given to and when? Voters? Before or after the primaries?

McCain won because rank and file voters chose him (though I have no idea why). After he won the primaries, he was force fed to the rest of the party, but not before.

The key is to win the primaries.

Not sure who gave the directive, but it was given to the county chairman. He tried to explain to me that McCain had the momentum and that we needed to unite for the good of the party.

This was the week before the primary.

That same week I heard Limbaugh asking listeners to vote for Hillary...
