Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, Jr. has convened a grand jury that is expected to consider whether to charge Donald Trump and his business executives with crimes as part of a long-running investigation into alleged financial fraud at the former president’s namesake company, according to a report Tuesday.

the grand jury development is the strongest indication yet that Vance believes he has uncovered evidence of a crime over the course of his two-year investigation into allegations that Trump and his associates committed a range of bank, tax and insurance fraud by artificially inflating and deflating assets to secure financial benefits.

If I own a property and want to borrow one million and tell the bank mine is worth half a million it is up to the bank to determine if they think it is worth the half million I say . That is not fraud . Zero here . Nothing burger as expected. No such thing as inflating and deflating assets . Cant be done to borrow as the one doing the lending determines the value and the city/county has a tax assessment value for property tax they determine , so it cannot be done to avoid tax . Insurance fraud ? If there is insurance fraud the insurance companies will pursue that themselves .

However, criminal defense attorney Abbe Lowell said that he “was not aware of nor told of any request for or action by [US] President [Donald Trump] to be involved in the security clearance process [for Jared Kushner],” according to NBC reporter Ken Dilanian on Saturday.

New statement from a spokesman for Abbe Lowell:

“Mr. Lowell was not aware of nor told of any request for or action by the President to be involved in the security clearance process. Again, officials affirmed at the time that the regular process occurred without any pressure.”
