A man is accused of threatening to chop up U.S. Sen. Rand Paul and his family with an ax.

The man has been arrested. He allegedly called in the threats to Paul's Bowling Green office.

Paul mentioned the attack publicly at an event in Litchfield, Kentucky, on Monday.

"Capitol Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man who threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an axe," Paul said. "It's just horrendous that we have to deal with things like this."

Capitol Police declined to comment because the investigation is ongoing.

This marks one of several threats and attacks Paul has had in the last year. More than a year ago, Paul was on the baseball diamond when James Hodgkinson opened fire and shot several congressional staffers as well as Rep. Steve Scalise, a Louisianna Republican.

In my fake news, after further investigation the democrat that voted for Hillary Clinton and threatened to cut up Rand Paul's family with an ax has been exonerated. The individual said he was just joking and FBI investigated and confirmed that the gentleman democrat posed no threat to himself or any other democrat. FBI issued a statement advising any and all Republicans to be courteous to any person they encounter and take extra steps not to offend liberals.

On the same day federal attorneys appealed his neighbor’s sentencing for an attack on Rand Paul’s Kentucky lawn,
U.S. Capitol Police arrested a man accused of threatening the senator’s life with an axe.

Paul has now been involved in three violent events in the past year. In June 2017, Paul managed to escape unscathed
from a shooting at an Alexandria, Virginia Republican baseball practice.

Last November, the senator was attacked on his own lawn by 58-year-old neighbor Rene Boucher. Paul suffered five rib fractures
after he was tackled, and this week his federal attorneys appealed the 30-day jail sentence Boucher received.
Paul is seeking to increase Boucher's criminal jail sentence as well as funds for medical and attorney costs.

Capitol police arrest Berkeley man after threats to member of Congress

BERKELEY — A Berkeley man was arrested on suspicion of threatening a federal official last week, just days after he allegedly wrote to a member of Congress he would “gut you like a hog” and kill the member’s family.

Nathanial Blaine Luffman — a former Kentucky resident, according to his Facebook page — was arrested June 27 and is being taken to Oregon to face a single charge of retaliating against a federal official by way of threats. It carries a maximum term of 10 years in prison.

While Luffman’s alleged victim is not named in court records describing the threats, U.S. Capitol Police describe him as an Oregon elected official with an office at a federal building in Portland. The court records also say the suspect has been associated with “other known threatening communications to members of Congress.”

Luffman allegedly wrote emails and sent voicemails to the official. His email told the victim he’d “gut you like a hog” and leave “your kids bowels splayed out across floor blood spattered on the door as you lay dead,” police said.

Luffman also allegedly left a voicemail threatening to “hack to pieces” the official and his daughters, used the hashtag #ObamaForLife and claimed that the official was involved in a plot to assassinate ex-President Barack Obama in Kentucky.

Hours after Luffman’s arrest was entered into the federal court system, Kentucky’s junior senator, Sen. Rand Paul, tweeted, “Thank you to the US Capitol Police for their arrest of the man who recently threatened to kill my family and me.”

Paul did not name the suspect, and calls to his office went unreturned as of 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. Last week, Paul said the man had “threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an axe” and that an arrest warrant had been issued.

Neither prosecutors nor police responded to inquiries about whether the threats to Paul were tied to Luffman.

...Luffman says Boulders will also feature unique service equipment and even eating utensils that keep the business operating in the “green,” minimizing environmental pollutants. Boulders uses recycled paper for cups, sugarcane or corn starch knives forks and spoons, uses gas to burn wood in the “smoker” to minimize use of wood and carbon pollutants and a dishwashing system that uses only natural cleansers to prevent chemical runoff.

“We’re trying to bring in as much technology as possible,” he said. “We are one of the first completely-green restaurants in Kentucky. All of this stuff (utensils) is made out of recycled or plant material and it is all biodegradable.”

The business also has begun a partnership with a farm in Almo that also operates as a hunger-relief charity to provide fresh vegetables locally instead of importing from other areas. Produce not used is distributed to those in need.

“Any excess food we can’t use we give away for free,” he said.

Other members of the Huffman family include parents Bobby and Debbie Luffman, one sister, Crystal Settle, and a brother, Jeff Luffman. Dean Cherry, also of Murray, is part owner of the business. Although with family roots in Boulders, Wyoming as well as the southeastern U.S., the family has decided that Murray is home and the site to open the new business. ...

FIB agents raided his home(s) and have reportedly taken boxes of evidence and confiscated all computers, hard drives,
and USB/removable media to find his motive.

Also odd they found boxes of Bette Midler memorabilia - records, pin-up posters, old concert ticket stubs, etc.
