I don't think anyone really needs to ask. There's just the portion of the population that wants to remain in denial about it and the portion of the population that wants to rub the other group's noses in it.

For example, Lindsey Graham gets all the young boys he wants on his travels, and then he gets to take his favorite neocon positions at all times. Win-win. No downside for Miss Lyndsey.
