Losing with Trump may be the best realistic option for the GOP establishment

Maybe in a Donald vs. Hillary contest he'll hammer on Benghazi and the email scandal and actually make it stick?

Forget that stuff. If The Donald wins he's going to hammer her on the tens of millions she's pocketed from Goldman Sachs and other banking interests for "speeches". That is what has the establishment throwing fits. The two parties have an unwritten rule of not exposing certain things to the public. Trump is going to talk about Goldman Sachs. He's going to talk about the House of Saud and the 28 missing pages. They can't have that.

Won't be able to because Hillary is going to pick sanders as VP. Sander voted against the bank bailouts, while Trump supported it. mote point.

The establishment on both sides is going to make sure that match up never happens.

Quite true. The elite looks upon Trump, and Cruz, and Ron/Rand as wild cards who might actually win against Hillary depending on what tactics they took, or net voters they energized. Can't have that uncertainty factor, especially since they are already looking forward to 2020 to run their more dependable guy, Paul Ryan, to continue the status quo.

Trump has the best chances of defeating Hillary.

There is 0 evidence to support this claim.

There is no way Trump loses to Hillary. That is why the GOPe is freaking out so much. The idea that Trump will lose based on polls being taken when his own party has literally just spent 60 million on ads trying to drive up his negatives while Hillary has been able to safely hide away in a cave is just stupid. Once the General comes around the GOP won't be able to openly spend money sandbagging Trump and Hillary will have nowhere to hide. Look what Trump did to Jeb. Yet somehow Hillary (a much weaker and more vulnerable candidate in nearly every aspect) is going to survive Trump's savaging?

Same here. Wishful thinking at best.

I agree.

By opposing Trump we kill two birds with one stone. We beat him, and we beat the Republican establishment.

And if Cruz ends up getting the nomination and then beats Hillary, we kill three birds.

Hillary can't pick Sanders. The inmates have taken over the asylum at the Democratic Party (as Bill Clinton found out with his Black Lives Matter jab). The Democrats will never again be allowed to run two white people on the ticket. Julian Castro has already been ordained the VP selection and any attempt to install a white person in his place would be met with outrage.

Trump is going to destroy Hillary on Goldman Sachs. No other candidate has the credibility to do this. Cruz's wife works for Goldman and Kasich was given a payout by Lehman Brothers every bit as outrageous as the bribe Hillary took from Goldman. The Clintons together have made over 100 million from their "public service". Think what an orator and demagogue like Trump can do with that information.

Yes, the best thing at this point may well be for Trumptard to get the nomination and then (inevitably) get annihilated in the general.

...I see no other easy way to rid ourselves of his "movement."

Like a disobedient dog, they need their noses dragged through their own mess to get the message.
