Local news: Standing-room only at Downtown Ron Paul event

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- A half-hour before the event, it was already standing room only for the crowd waiting to hear from Republican presidential candidate, Congressman Ron Paul.

The event at 11 Thursday morning, was a part of the College of Charleston's The Bully Pulpit Series.

Paul told the crowd that it was nice to be out of D.C. and hear applause for a change.

The very supportive crowd gave Paul applause after every sentence.
