LinkedIn Bans Geologist for Posting Facts About Carbon Dioxide

The Silicon Valley thought police are at it again. On July 6, geologist Gregory Wrightstone, the current executive director of the CO2 Coalition, announced that he had been banned from LinkedIn, the online employment and professional social networking platform. Wrightstone’s “crime” was, apparently, that he posted graphs that show that the life-giving molecule known as carbon dioxide was much more plentiful in Earth’s atmosphere in the past.

Climate hysterics believe that carbon dioxide — a molecule essential for life on Earth — is a major culprit in global warming.

Damn you Texan. Even though you're taking the piss, you're very right about every part of that statement. Although your level of worry is not something I can check, I'll take your word for it.

A few things to note here, yes CO2 was much, much higher than it's now before... But it is also true that lots of that was assimilated and turned into limestone and or carbon over hundreds of millions, billions of years. And yes, you're right a new equilibrium will form.

I think the one thing we should do as humanity is face a few basic facts;

1) Humanity will destroy itself.

2) If not, the earth will be swallowed by the sun. All the water will disappear.

3) Why do I even give a fuck.

The benefits of watering plants with Club Soda (study)

“We used six Helzine [sic] soleirolii, commonly known as Baby’s Tears, plants to conduct our experiment. The plants were divided into two groups, A and B. Both groups were placed in the same amount of sunlight and given the same soil. The plants were fed according to florist instructions. However instead of plain tap water, group B was fed Club Soda. Every day at 7 pm each plant had one of its shoots measured and recorded. This continued for ten days. At the end of the experiment, data was arranged and compared.”

The research team, from University of Colorado Boulder, US, determined that plants watered with Club Soda fared considerably better :

“Plants given carbonated water not only grew faster but also developed a healthier shade of green in comparison to plants given tap water. […] The nutrients in the Club Soda are like a double dose of essentials for plants.”
