While credit should be given to Trump administration for appointing global anti-semitism czar and launching a global campaign against anti-semitism recently. With increasing noise of war drums in some camps, could history repeat itself and US/world could see another spike in anti-semitism as happened after Iraq war if Trump administration did end up taking US to a war with Iran?

Latest headline today may also contribute towards recent trend of anti-Trump conspiracy theories among some Far Right groups:

Prominent U.S. Jews, Israel Blamed for Start of Iraq War

Nathan Guttman
31.05.2004
WASHINGTON - As the argument in the United States over the necessity of the war in Iraq and the manner in which it was waged intensifies, and as the presidential election date draws nearer, those who have tried to accuse Israel or the U.S. Jews of pushing the administration into battle are once again sounding their voices. In the American Jewish community, they warn it could get worse.

The most blatant example in recent weeks was an article written by veteran Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings (Dem.-South Carolina), who charged in an article published in a Charleston newspaper at the beginning of the month that behind the decision to go to war was "President Bush's policy to secure Israel."
In his article, Hollings mentions the names of three prominent Jews, from the neoconservative stream in the administration, as those responsible for pushing for the decision to go to war in Iraq.

Flood of condemnations of New York Times for antisemitic cartoon

Congressmen join former ambassador to Israel and journalists in slamming the newspaper.

Condemnations of The New York Times increased over the weekend after the paper’s international edition published an antisemitic cartoon. The offensive image was of a blind US President Donald Trump wearing a yarmulke, being walked by a dog with the face of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and wearing a Star of David collar. Despite the paper calling it an “error of judgment” to publish it, congressmen and Jewish organizations joined the chorus of outrage.
US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell called the cartoon “despicable,” and the American Jewish Committee said it was “naked antisemitism.” Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas, 2nd District) wrote that “even if unintentional, the Left has normalized antisemitism under the guise of criticizing US-Israel foreign policy.” Other members of Congress were also shocked.
“Absolutely disgraceful and classless antisemitic pic,” tweeted Congressman Lee Zeldin (R-NY, 1st District).

The neoconservative push for war with Iran is not in the American people’s interest

Trump's dogs of war, by Jonah Lobe. For Jim Lobe's piece at Lobelog.

One of the frustrations in writing about foreign policy over the last 15 years is that the words “neoconservative” and “Israel lobby” are both considered somewhat outside the line, as anti-Semitic. The neocons like it that way, not being in the spotlight. Many years ago Paul Wolfowitz turned the word neoconservative back on a questioner at the American Enterprise Institute, Oh you mean Jewish. That identification has been reissued lately, as a weaponized charge: You seem to think there’s a problem with Jews playing a role in foreign policy. The same charge is leveled against those who speak openly of the Israel lobby: You are talking about Jewish influence.
