libertarian
h ttp://lptexas.org/content/current-candidates

and constitution party
h ttp://www.cptexas.us/candidates.shtml

well that kinda sucks

CP probably won't get on the ballot. But the LP is definitely a cause for concern IF Debra Medina wins, a big if.

Of course, if Medina loses she can endorse the LP candidate and get them big new votes and help them down-ballot.

I think the party determination is done by which primary you vote in (or convention you vote in if you go the 3rd party route).

Its open primary. But really it aint a cause for concern. I have voted libertarian several times here in protest....but right now whoever runs as a republican will win easily. We don't have to worry about a vote split in a close election most likely.

Sincerely,

Slutter McGee

3rd party candidates won't be more than an afterthought in the Governor's race.

I can't imagine the LP candidate getting many votes if Medina makes the general. The LP has an unwritten law (which is sometimes broken) of actively fielding candidates against some libertarian or libertarian-leaning GOP members.
