Lew Rockwell giddy at prospect of Rand's demise

Lew has issues. What's wrong with this guy? He seems slightly crazy to me, just in everything he does and nearly everything he says.

Nothing's wrong with him and he's not "crazy". What has he said that would indicate he's crazy? Weather on not you agree with him is one thing but he's certainly not mentally ill.
DA acts like Levin in this thread. I'd bet he's the "crazy" one here.

Lew is the one who made a speech a Ron's Rally for the Republic, urging people not to vote. He's also said some really strange, very radical things in his articles. It just doesn't seem like he has a well balanced view of the world.

As of the Rally for the Republic, RP was no longer running. So what's strange about urging people not to vote? What are some of the other things he has said that you consider strange and radical?

Lew associated with weirdos and psychos, one example is Robert Wenzel.

The only requirement for Lew to associate with you seems to be being a libertarian. So if you're a serial killer and an advocate of libertarianism, Lew would probably be fine with you.

I'm not sure this is necessarily a bad thing. All other political movements are led by psychopaths. Maybe it will serve libertarianism well to have a few psychopaths trying to advance it. They're relentless and focused.

So that's a no.

Here is an example noted in the Washington Post article I just read. https://www.lewrockwell.com/political-theatre/rand-opposes-peace-with-iran/'

"Rand Opposes Peace With Iran

He sides with Bibi and other death lobbyists."

That is obviously a dishonest headline. And anyone who thinks otherwise is a dunce. I don't agree with Lew's stance on trade agreements. But I doubt he opposes free trade. Here is an equivalent headline if I wrote in Lew speak.

"Lew Rockwell Opposes Trade and Free Enterprise

He sides with Robert Reich, Bernie Sanders and other totalitarian socialists."

That's a good example.

But I would hardly expect Lew to give Rand a pass on something this terrible. If Rand thought it would help him get more votes, it was a major blunder, because it cost him most of the enthusiastic support his father's base could have given him.

That's a pretty good example and comparison. +Rep.

I disagree with Rand on this. Lew doesn't need to give Rand a pass. But he went to the extreme of saying Rand opposes peace with Iran.

These kinds of hyperbolic statements lower the conversation. Lew opposes freer trade, supports immigration restrictions, and supports a tax code full of corporate welfare and economic distortions over a flat tax. I don't think he has these views because he is a socialist. But he has no problem impugning other people's motives for daring to disagree on those issues.

Got links to prove this? Depending on how you define all these terms and frame the question, RP would probably support those too.

That's his point. That kind of caricaturing is the way Lew treats Rand he's saying.

If I'm not mistaken, Rockwell and Ron Paul are quite close. Furthermore, if I correctly recall, you can't find a negative thing about Ron Paul on Lew's website. What is it about Rand that drives him up a wall?

Also, hasn't the Rockwell website been fawning over Donald Trump recently?
