Please pardon me if y'all have already discussed this, but it seems to me that Virginia's delegates are ripe for Ron Paul's picking. The only two candidates on the ballot will be Dr. Paul and Mitt Romney. Most Virginians do NOT support Mitt Romney. If they all cast their votes for RP then we'll win the delegates.

So it seems to me that in addition to promoting Ron Paul (which we should obviously do) we should also be making the case that a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Newt Gingrich (I'm supressing my urge to vomit as I type these words). In other words, we should tell folks they have two choices: Romney (in which case vote for Romney) or not-Romney (in which case vote for Paul).

my two cents worth

You make a good point. No doubt a vote for Ron Paul is an anti-establishment vote, so in theory Ron Paul delegates would not vote for Romney in the convention. My concern is that your statement "Most Virginians do NOT support Mitt Romney." Have there been any polls indicating how Virginian's might vote in the Ron Vs Mitt race?

I did a little analysis of the '08 primary here ...

Also, our Governor and Lt Governor have both endorsed Romney and they were elected as a result of the "anti-establishment" wave in '09 & '10. I guess my point here is to not get overly-optimistic about which candidate Virginian's do not support. We have a lot of work to do.
