I'm going to guess 1) he's still relatively unknown 2) his mb is even less known 3) it's still early 4) people are skeptical of the proposition of unseating such an entrenched est. incumbent.

Re-election rate of incumbent in the house has been over 80% since 1964.
It's not much better for the senate.

People would have to get extremely active to defeat his deep pockets.

Bright is the best option, and he is polling best of the Primary challengers. Nancy Mace getting in the race has muddied the waters though. Two supposed liberty candidates has dulled enthusiasm.
