learning from UKIP

British politics is very different. For starters they have a long history of more than two major parties. And seats are won by party not by individuals.

Making enemies on a local level by running against the GOP in every race during the general is not wise. Build relationships for next cycle.

Found this critical video of UKIP and Farage. I think its relevant in discussing UKIP and its libertarian cred.

doesn't have to be in the general in every race, at least initially. but every primary. and some in the general. a Dem would be better than Peter King, or Tom Cotton. the neo-cons run against Amash every cycle.

Agreed. There are many things we can indeed learn from UKIP, but most of those lessons are in the form of policy and branding. Once you get in to the nuts and bolts of the electoral system, the British system is just too radically different from ours to gain anything useful. Dave Brat is somebody that learned the lessons of UKIP and applied them to perfection. Every liberty political guru in the country should study his campaign.
