Kind of a double standard IMO. I mean, I was under the impression that the KKK was all feds now anyway. I wonder if the cop would have been fired for attending a Muslim Brotherhood meeting, or a New Black Panthers party, or for calling for the death of cops at a black lives matter rally...
I mean, I thought Political Speech was supposed to be the most carefully protected by the 1st amendment.
Im not saying I agree with anything to do with that KKK rally or any of that.
But when it becomes ok to fire someone for attending Political event, no matter how unpopular, we are going down a slippery slope to having people discriminated against for a whole lot of stupid shit.
When is it going to be acceptable to fire someone because they believe in the wrong God? or go to the wrong church? or belong to the wrong political party? or refuse to vaccinate their kids?
Again, just to be clear, fuck that guy. He is prolly a racist dumbass piece of shit. I dont want to defend his actions in the slightest. But IMO, it just isn't right, and sets a very dangerous precedent for something like this to happen.
