Excerpt from the Rolling Stones interview:

Who has been your most critical public supporter?
John Pilger, the Australian journalist, has been the most impressive. And the other is Dan Ellsberg. It's the amount of time I've spent with him, both in front of and behind the scenes. When people are working in front of the scenes, in public, it is often because it is helpful to them. One never really knows what the true allegiance is. But when someone puts it on the line both publicly and privately, that's a sign of true character. Ron Paul did come out and make an impassioned and rational speech

as much good as bad done on this one. An endorsement from assange won't go over well with a lot of people.

He said good things about 3 people, Ron was one. An endorsement is a little different, I think.

Yea, that doesn't sound like an endorsement. More like an acknowledgement.

I'd rather NOT have his input on Dr. Paul. He's hated by the vast majority of the GOP base.

Yeah, the video of Paul boosting Bradley Manning doesn't go over well with most Republicans. You could tout this situationally depending on your audience but it's not an unalloyed blessing.

Ron Paul doesn't speak to Republican voters.

He speaks to EVERYONE.

The sooner some of you realize we're going to get support from all sides, the better. Yes, that'll confuse some people who are used to thinking in the left/right paradigm. But perhaps it'll only hasten them waking up.

I agree somewhat with affa.

Either people will "get it" in time to save this country, or they won't. I'm betting they'll wake up too late but I try to wake up people as I get to them.

Rons foreign policy doesn't bode well for the GOP base either. Someone likes him, let him speak out. (us cheerleading it is different though, we need to propagate the smart endorsements)
