On Fox and Friends, Judge Andrew Napolitano sat down with Steve Doocy to discuss the situation in Syria and how President Obama has handled the crisis.

He pointed out the apparent role reversal for Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as the United States pushes for military strikes on Syria.

"Vladimir Putin is a trained killer, murderer, torturer, as a former KGB agent. Barack Obama is a trained lawyer, scholar and expert in the Constitution and he wins the Nobel Peace Prize. Now, which of the two of them sounds like a Nobel Peace laureate and which of the two of them sounds like a thug who wants to kill?"

Napolitano believes the Russians are now "dominant [in the Middle East] because the president is incompetent."

The judge explained that President Obama made a big mistake by declaring the chemical weapons "red line" last year arguing that the comment was made in order to "sound tough" in the heat of a presidential campaign.

Am I the only one that feels like calling Obama things like "incompetent" is sort of taunting him? I mean, Obama was an idiot long before the Syria issue came up, but are conservatives going overboard with the criticism?

Half of the GOP is taunting Obama because they think he's weak and they want him to go to war. The other half is taunting him because they think he is weak and they want um . . . well what exactly is the point, at this point? Obama needs to be ignored on the issue, in my opinion. Congress needs to vote and if Russia happens to want to help collect the chemical weapons, so be it. There's not much use in attacking the man at this point because it's not like he's eligible for re-election.

(not defending Obama in any way, just that I think he's largely irrelevant, and he should be, as Congress needs to step up to take up its responsibility when it comes to foreign policy)

TLDR: Conservatives could use this opportunity to come out looking like the adults in the room, but all I'm hearing from conservative outlets is 'neener neener you screwed up, Obama'.
