A message from John Dennis:

Thanks to the support of the liberty community, last night I soundly beat three democrats and one green party candidate in yesterday’s congressional primary. This sets up a 1 on 1 contest between Pelosi and me this year!

As you know, Dr. Ron Paul previously endorsed my candidacy against Pelosi, making me one of the few liberty candidates to win a primary this election cycle.

Because of California’s new “open primary” system, I will now be the*ONLY candidate on the ballot against Pelosi. That’s right, there will only be TWO choices this November: PELOSI OR ME... tyranny OR liberty.

Will you help me represent the liberty community and take on Pelosi in her own backyard?

Please click here to chip-in $10 or more in support of my candidacy against Pelosi.

I admit taking on Pelosi is an uphill battle, and it is going to take a lot of hard work to unseat her.

But we should remember this will be a high profile race, with endless opportunities to promote our shared ideals in both the national and local media.

We’ll have the chance to challenge Ms. Pelosi on the*war in Afghanistan, her*support of torture, her*cheerleading the corporate bailouts, thebillions of dollars of debt*she has racked up in her career in congress, her unconscionable, indefensible*vote for the disgraceful NDAA, and her mandate that she and the*elite in Washington D.C. make our medical decisions.

Will you stand with me? I’m willing to go after Pelosi on the issues,*but I need your help.

Please click here to make a contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000, the maximum of $2,500, or whatever you can afford, today!

Remember Dr. Paul is not returning to congress next year, so it is up to us to give the next generation of liberty candidates the fuel they need to continue, to keep fighting, to keep the torch of liberty lit.

Every single contribution is needed regardless of size.

Please click here to chip-in $5 as a sign of support of my candidacy against Pelosi.

In Liberty,

John Dennis

Yeah, we have to back him. I don't know what his chances are, but we have to give him an opportunity to launch....

He is going to win

Well I guess an improvement would be getting her to admit he exists. Then, get her to agree to a debate against him this time. That would be amazing by itself.

edit: don't get me wrong, I think he's a great guy. I'd love to see him destroy her in a debate.

pelosis district is hers until she dies.

Pelosi wins with like 80% of the vote.

Her district has also received 25% of the Obamacare waivers out of the 1000 given out. Go figure. She is beyond corrupt.

How did she vote on NDAA? Does anyone know, off hand? or do I have to look it up?

I doubt she'd bother debating him, that'd just be a risk for her.

So is medical marijuana--Pelosi scoffed in the face of her supporters and still got 80%.

And the wars. Fact is, she owns the district and nothing can be done about it. If you want an educational campaign, by all means go for it. But lets not be delusional.

A smarter way to go would be to have run a Ron Paul Democrat against her in the primary, or better yet, once she retired. If the movement concentrated on the 5-10% of races that were open seats, and ran our candidates in PRIMARY races, for the party nomination the district actually leaned towards, we'd win seats much more quickly. Ron and Rand Paul ran as Republicans in Republican leaning areas. Why do Paul candidates think it can be all done running only GOP candidates in strongly Democratic districts with entrenched incumbents? That's a waste of energy and resources, as the incumbents (upon winning the primary) have the inside track, resources and demographics to prevail without a problem.

The LP has always been willing to run educational campaigns to be represented on the ballot, but the Paul 2008/2012, post Tea Party example has shown the path to WINNING or having more impact on the election is to run a principled third party or grassroots campaign in a major party primary. Going forward, that means running Ron Paul Republicans in Republican districts, and Ron Paul Democrats in Democratic districts, preferably in a primary when there is an open seat. If we want to use a different methodology than that of symbolic third party-like campaigns, we should be 'primarying' the Dems and GOP first and foremost, to be in position to then win the elections.
