Statewide talk radio host Moon Griffon believes that pressure to move the caucus to April is coming from Governor Bobby Jindal.

"Jindal raises big money for the Republican party, so they do what he wants," Griffon told THE DEAD PELICAN.

Griffon says that Jindal wants a VP spot(or some other position) if the next U.S. president is a Republican.

Jindal's desire for the national spotlight is no secret, but the governor's endorsed presidential candidate (Texas Governor Rick Perry) has plummeted in the polls. The media is now touting Mitt Romney as the presumptive Republican nominee.
Many believe that Jindal is pushing for the Louisiana caucus to take place in April to suit Romney.

"He's doing it to further his national ambitions," Griffon told THE DEAD PELICAN. Griffon said that if the Louisiana Republican Caucus were held today, Texas Congressman Ron Paul would win.

Thanks for the heads up. + rep.

Once again this Paul supporter will be able to amaze my friends with uncanny insight into the status quo.

Turn some more from the dark side, turn some more....

Jindal isn't even eligible to be VP, according to the founders of the Constitution.

Jindal picked the wrong pony in this race and now he has to suck up to Romney.

Who should Louisiana residents be calling about this issue? Their representatives? Local GOP party official?

anything we can do to stop it from being pushed back ?

If anything, question the powers that be and spread what the establishment is doing to the media, but do it tactfully and with respect. This past week some unknown people had been making threatening/harassing phone calls and emails regarding this matter which were completely deplorable. With that said, just have to ask yourself WWRPD? before committing to a course of action.

As the article says we have a huge presence here in LA and I think that if this is exposed to the majority of conservative voters here we should have massive outrage. If they aren't too distracted by the Saints in the playoffs or Mardi Gras season. A 46 soft pledged delegate win in January would have been HUGE and still has the potential to be huge in February.

Why am I not surprised by this? A date should have been picked last year.

They're trying to buy time for Romney. He's not as well organized in Louisiana as we are.

We need to holler about this..
