I have five of these:

Delivered just before the feds raided Norfed.

They are listed on this seller's ebay page at $495.

WTF? They spiked right after the raid, but hell, is that a realistic price range?

Well, they are pretty rare, and it's a beautiful coin.

I don't see how they could get THAT high though. There must be a LOT of demand for them.

I'd have to venture a guess that they shifted a decimal over a place, and are selling it for $50.

My first searches resulted in no Norfed RP silvers, then I tightened up the search parameters and a few more came up, but not many, and the range was from $160 to the one above at $495.

For anybody curious, no, they are not for sale.:D

Do a search of closed auctions and find out what they sold for.

yes, that is accurate, well, at least not too outrageous, supply and demand.

it's a collectors item, the cheapest I've seen on ebay was $100 (about 6x-30x metal value), I've seen it sold for much more too.

Even copper Ron Pauls sell for $25 on eBay. (about 50x metal value)

You can do "buy it now" and keep waiting, or start it at an acceptable price ($200 wouldn't be bad)

Ron Paul is a good man. But he isn't that good to demand such a high premium. The listing claims that it is a proof, so maybe that's why the list price is so high.

Don't buy that crap at high price just because RP is on it. That's the only reason the price is so unreasonably high. I hope no one buys that at such outrageous price. This isn't a cult. :)

Even if you call yourself a collector....

Hate to burst the bubble.

But I got an e-mail back from Austin Liberty Dollar, they still have them for $80.00 each.

Which means, I'll be happy to buy some from them and put them on eBay for $150.

Yep, looking on eBay, there's 4 sold lately, $80 , $102.50 , $112, $130, all shipping included.

the OP's bubble that he can sell it for $500.

Mine are not for sale, and it's no bubble, I'm surprised that's all, so stop putting words on my monitor.

And you bought for $80.

I paid $20 direct from Norfed, so I'm still way ahead of the game.

sorry, I misread you, but bubble, I meant whoever was dreaming somebody can sell it for $500 + shipping, is in a dream bubble.

No problem. No I don't think it's realistic either, I was just throwing it out there to gauge reaction, and maybe see if any are in "offline" circulation and what they are selling for.

i bought one of these last year for like $500 because the seller promised to donate all profits to the Tea Party money bomb
