Is There a Strategic Reason RP Has Stopped Appearing on TV???

I thought for a minute that somehow he just stopped getting invited to speak on all the various news channels, but that doesn't make much sense given just how many times he has been invited on those shows in the past. Further, there was a recent Rachel Maddow clip where she was begging him to come on her show.

So this begs the question...what gives? These appearances are the only exposure he can get that costs no money and he always seemed interested in utilizing this. Now, he basically has gone completely silent in the national media and I am curious what people think the reason could be?

Is he too busy focusing on delegates? Is he not getting invited? Is he trying to avoid having to talk about campaign related matters for some reason? If so, what would be your best guess as to the reasons?

I hope he changes this because I miss watching!

He was on some cable a week ago, he hosted squawk box etc. But last campaign they cut him out until it was over THEN had him on tons. I'm sure they will have him on tons once he is no threat. He draws ratings.

Maddow is a special case. After what she did to Rand which was intellectually dishonest at best, I think Ron simply doesn't like her.

So you think it isn't anything more than a lack of invites?

As for Maddow, can you link that clip about Rand?

okay, but that doesn't make any sense as a justification for why RP isn't on many shows lately, and certainly not explanation for why he isn't on Maddow. this clip is OLD and he has been on her show plenty since then...

Ron Paul has been on tv, maybe I missed when he was being given airtime before?

At convention he had a speech and after reporter asked to interview him but people from campaign said no.

An interview would be unproductive right now, because every question will be a question about why the grassroots wants to fire Jesse.

My Answer - "Because my grassroots supporters wants to eliminate the the establishment utterly and completely, casting them and you aside by any means possible. I work to change history and to ensure a peaceful transition along the way."

I do not like bush republicans or gop establishment republicans or romney republicans but i still go to gop meetings and the gop convention. I worked very hard for plan a. Now it is time to focus on plan b. I no longer need ron paul to further liberty in colorado. I do thank him for waking me up. Now it is time to move on and keep working with or WITHOUT THE Corrupt gop.

I honestly believe threats were made to RP and/or his family. It's Ross Perot all over again.

There's nothing wrong with taking a break as well. I'm half his age and all this travel, speeches, interviews is very mentally taxing.

He needs to be seriously thinking about that too. I pray Ron is doing OK. I don't trust Benton even being around him.

That is possible but Ron has been fighting the establishment for a very long time, I doubt this is the first time threats have been made against him and/or his family. Considering he has been soft on the front runner Romney this whole campaign, the threats might originate from the backers of Romney, the big banks, and could have been out there from the very beginning of the campaign.

It is also possible that he is just realizing that he isn't going to win the nomination and sees no reason to not be frank with his supporters and tell them that. He could be depressed about it, it is possible. I am praying for strength for him to do what he believes is right in his heart.

They threatened his family and he quit the race. Of course, he made up some "other" reason to cover for it, but...
