Is the Chinese Finger Trap a Good Metaphor for the War on Terror?

I think it may be a simple and great way to explain Dr. Paul's foreign policy to others. Just like with the finger trap when you try and pull harder and harder, you are more and more trapped. Same thing with terrorism. If a country sanctions more, occupies more, bombs more, etc, the more the enemy grows and is motivated.

What do you think?

I don't believe so. The reason being that whether you pull or not you are still trapped. So while some may believe it is futile to resist terrorism it will still exist.
