I thought the most interesting part of this was the graph and where Rand Paul stands. It also shows how laughable it is when people question if Rand Paul is hardcore enough. Being insufficiently conservative is the absolute least of his worries. Notice where Rand's voting record ranks.

McCain and Romney weren't too liberal, so I don't understand why J. Bush would be thought of as such.

Red dots are reality, blue dots are appearance. So Rand's the most conservative by far, but pretends to be much less conservative than he is; while the others are not very conservative at all, but pretend to be more conservative than they really are. Yup, I'd say that's spot on.

This chart is BRILLIANT!

Being liberal is an advantage when seeking the Republican nomination, not a disadvantage.

I wish the fact that his last name is BUSH was enough to make him unelectable. Stupid #$%@ing voters.

Interesting chart, and a very good one. It really shows that what people like me have been saying-Rand Paul is playing the game with his public persona, and that's confusing a lot of libertarians and genuine conservatives.

The most conservative voting record in the graph should still matter right? Even if this specific source states his "Public Issue Statements" aren't as conservative?
