I thought I saw that Gravel is running under the Libertarian Party ticket?

I don't know much about him, although I saw some YouTubes that show him right on about the war against Hillary and Obama.

To me, it would almost seems to be the best way, have this guy, Ron Paul and Cucinich all join forces and knock out the MSM candidates.

Also, whatever happened to the bit of news that Walter E. Williams would be Ron Paul's choice for VP? I saw one article on the Washington Times, but WT seems to have deleted that piece...hmm, MSM plot?

Gravel is runnig on a Democratic side, but he might as well quit.

Most people would say Ron Paul revolution is done, but at least Ron Paul has money, very active and passionate if inexperienced grassroots and delegates. Gravel has absolutely nothing to his name. Which is really sad because if there were no Ron Paul, I'd vote for Gravel in an instant.

No. He'd never get the nomination anyways.

He's still a socialist

How would they go about doing this?

Doesn't matter who RP wants as VP at this point.

Mike Gravel is honest, but he's clueless. He's far from Libertarian too, lol.

Gravel: Libertarian in name only

O.K. Mike Gravel says he's quitting the Democratic Party and is joining the L.P. Read here:

http://www.gravel2008.us/

This is truly perplexing. Gravel (and his supporters) favor irrational Big Government Programs such as nationalized, single-payer healthcare, mandatory "living wage" statutes and a figurative bushel basket full of schemes that amount to the government stealing from Peter in order to subsidize Paul. Gravel's socially "progressive" followers will NOT accompany him to the L.P. With the exception of his principled position on a non-interventionist foreign policy, there is absolutely NOTHING in Gravel's political philosophy that resonates in tune with the Libertarian Party platform. He will receive minimal support from the L.P. membership. It is inconceivable to me that he will receive the L.P. presidential nomination.

Gravel has no money and minimal support. His joining the L.P. is the political equivalent of a terminal lung cancer patient deciding to acquire a 60 cigarette per day smoking habit.

Sad, pathetic and bizarre. :(

However the good man just BOLTED from both Ms. Hillary and Mr. Barack... clearly and cleanly!!!

Mike Gravel seeking the libertarian nomination is an insult to libertarians. It's a signal that he thinks that we're just disgruntled people who will vote for anyone who is outside the mainstream. The guy can *say* he's running for the libertarian nomination, but he will fail miserably. It actually *means* something to be a libertarian - unlike being a Republican or a Democrat. Libertarianism is a philosophy before it's a political party.

So is Republicanism.
