Is Facebook Blocking the Money Bomb?

Perhaps I'm just being paranoid, but I've been a bit surprised that I haven't seen any of the posts like the one I was happily directed to share on Facebook after I donated for the money bomb today.

This was brilliant - to the right of the thank you screen it has a button to click to share a simulated screen capture of your name up on the big donation ticker. How many of us nerds remember carefully waiting to get a screen capture during the old Ron Paul money bombs? Brilliant idea - yet has anyone else seen it in their feed?

So, I took a screen capture of the post on my front page and shared that on some of the Activism sites I run.

Has anyone else seen this post in your feeds?

wonder if it has anything to do with the secured transport protocol. Here is the link that generate my image.

Seriously, is everyone here either paranoid or a conspiracy theorist in training that blames an entire organization when something doesn't go the way they expected it to? Maybe no one else you know has donated, so you haven't seen any posts shared yet. I personally don't know anyone in my circle of friends save for maybe two or so that would donate, but haven't seen them share...maybe they chose not to share, maybe they have other obligations, maybe they posted and I missed their shared posts since Facebook is a big website. But blocking the money bomb? It's like we're looking for reasons to blame this, YouTube, and any other organization just to find a scapegoat.

I don't know much about this, but I knew someone here could help clarify this! It's such a clever idea - and it's sad if the posts just aren't being seen!
I do know that you can't promote photos w/ $ on Facebook pages if they have too much text on them. Is that the violation?

"Promoted Posts may not include images that are comprised of more than 20% text"

In the meantime, it looks like it would be good for all of us to find creative ways to let people know we donated - a selfie w/ marker on paper might work...

Fair enough - and I appreciate the criticism, but I could add that almost my entire news feed is ruled by Rand Paul! today because most of my fake friends are Ron/Rand Paul supporters. Mostly, if I'm correct that Facebook is limiting the sharing of this, it's a teachable moment that you can't effectively share images w/ over 20% text. Who knows - but, yes, we need to be less paranoid - and maybe it's for the best because all of the hardcore people are going to donate - the normal folks will likely just be turned off with talk of donations.

i thought it was incredibly clever too! reminded me of old days, without all the hassle.

Hey, I remember one of the money bombs last time around I asked Doug Wead to see if they could include functionality like this and they actually did it. I'm so glad Rand's team has the sense to include something like this without having to be asked to.
