And who would take care of grandma and grandpa and all the disabled that can't work....you? Just saying...lol....don't see how that is possible at this time since so many people rely on it. If you are going to get rid of it and let grandma die, then why not SS too at the same time so they can go live in the street while they die of starvation, that is if the common cold doesn't get them first.

yeah...I'm a huge fan and supporter of Ron Paul, and I know exactly what he has said about it. It would be the PEOPLES choice to opt in or not. I would bet right now that if given the choice, only the idiots would opt out...lol...sorry but reality is what reality is, if you were to give a 20 or 30 yr old that money in his pocket, he's gonna blow it on whores and crack...lol (only some will) the point is, most people would spend it and NOT save for retirement. Most people CANNOT invest and that's because most people are barely making it now. The only reason SS and medicare are not financially stable is because our gooberment keeps robbing the dam money and medicare is failing because hospitals and insurance companies are robbing it blind by charging $200 for a friggin aspirin. No matter what we believe about this subject, it still doesn't answer my question. It was stated that it should be repealed. That means an immediate end to SS and medicare. First of all I know damn well there isn't one 20 or 30 something year old that I have ever met that has even considered what will happen when THEY retire let alone afford to take care of them....lmao....how many people do you know that have actually started saving for retirement? The only ones that I know of are successful business owners and union members. Unfortunately that is not the majority of people. Our biggest employer in this country is Walmart...lol...that's really not funny, it's friggin sad. SS and medicare came about because during the depression, millions of people ended up in the streets. A lot of them worked their whole lives away and DIED in the streets.That is no exaggeration. Many of them were seniors and could no longer work. Many of them had worked their whole life and ended up out in the friggin street without a penny to their name. SS forced employers who had exploiting their workers, to pay into a system that would enable them, to survive. Most people do not make enough money to save for retirement let alone afford health insurance. Especially back then when pay was shit and there were no labor laws which forced people to work 80 hours per week with no breaks or overtime. (that brings up a whole new topic of what if everything were left up to the employer and free markets...lol...(one need only to look into our past) Of course I also know that insurance is a scam and our whole health care system is broken just as our justice system is. Greed and power is a terrible thing. Our whole government is broken and yet one bright spot in the whole damn system is that Grandma and Grandpa, after working his whole life away, still has some sort of income and some sort of health care. They aren't left to die in the street. I know this is a touchy subject here in this forum....lol....but truths are still truths. I'm just glad I have worked union most of my life and I'm going to have a pretty good income when I retire in a few years. I'll take my early out even with the penalty and still draw more than what I make on a 40hr week and I can't wait...lol...4 more years!!! Hopefully I will be able to get back my SS that I have paid into my whole life. It will be added to my pension a few years after that. Bring on the whores!!!....but no crack thank you...lol

I heard Rush Limbaugh speak about this yesterday. El Rushbo's prognosis? The Trump team's handling of it was a disaster. Coming back the next day and saying he was being sarcastic was just stupid. Again, that's according to Rush. Rush's explanation was Trump heard about the good news on disinfectant, is always thinking outside the box and was thinking out loud. Rush's explanation was Trump was wondering if there was some way to use the disinfectant inside the body, but not that Trump wanted to go grab a patient and inject him with it. Small distinction that doesn't clear up the foot-in-mouth moment any more than Trump's "I was being sarcastic" explanation. But I'm sure some will say Rush has TDS or has failed Scott Adams' national intelligence test right? Anyway, I don't know if it's eagerness to come forward with a solution without thinking it through or self-sabotage. Either way there is a "poison the well" effect. Saying "I have a hunch that the mortality rate is inflated" versus "Dr. So-and-so says the mortality rate may be inflated" for example.

I care about liberty and in that regard Trump gets a D based on the way he is expanding the size of government. Which is still way better than any democrat who all get F's.

I've changed my mind about one thing. I thought Trump would lose the election based on the economy collapsing (this was before the corona virus). But now I think the corona virus is going the give him the election. The economy is going to be in much worse shape in November, this bubble is just starting to pop. But I think people are going to blame it on the shutdown and the democrats seems to own that issue right now. I think it's going to backfire big time. In fact I can picture both Trump and Biden pledging never to shutdown the economy like that again.
