Thought you guys would like something to lighten the mood around here. It's been pretty serious in these parts. These are the people our government are supposed to be "partnered" up with in our epic fight vs. the big bad ISIS.

Iraqi military supply helicopters were supposed to be taking shipments of food, water, and ammunition to besieged troops in the Shaqlawah base in Anbar Province late last week, where they’ve been out of the normal supply lines for a week. The supplies were dropped, just not where you’d want them.

Instead of dropping the shipments of food, water, and ammunition on the besieged base, many of the pilots mistakenly dropped the supplies on the ISIS fighters themselves.

Which is great for ISIS, who after all is using the same US-made weaponry Iraq’s own military is, largely looted from Iraqi military bases, and might’ve had a hard time finding spare ammunition otherwise.

The bungled airdrops were reported by Iraqi MP Hakim al-Zamill, from the Security and Defense Committee. He said the mistakes were because of “lack of experience of the pilots.”

NBC quoted an unnamed Iraqi brigadier general as confirming the incidents had happened, and Zamill insisted that there will be an investigation into the commanders organizing the mission.

Aiding and abetting terrorists, terrorism, crimes against humanity, blah blah...

Ye Olde wheeling the 'Double-edged sword' of prepetual war financing all sides in keeping the US Trillion $ Military-Security Industrial jobs programs running.

Every corner you turn, Every action you see, Every operation you witness... Government Hypocrisy & Fraud smacks you dead in the face.

So if you are a member of ISIS, are YOU going to eat that food or use that ammo? Not me brother.

A valid point there, however it's easy enough to random sample the ammo, deconstruct it and verify if it's a trojan horse or not. I don't believe ISIS is actually the target in the first place so it's mostly rhetorical for me.

Yep. For one thing ISIS got its foothold in Iraq because the Iraqi generals stood down. But second, if I really thought the food was tampered with I would feed it to my prisoners first. And the ammo? Test fire it using a pull string while sitting in a bunker.

Different news, the Kurds dropping some laugh bombs:

Nothing is as important as having good morale. Of course more weapons are needed as well.

No, it's the Sandy Hook children disguised as terrorists.

Try to stay on topic junior. It's not difficult, I promise.

Publishing these reports does give the impression of the continued existence of a group know as 'ISIS', while people in general just roll their eyes at the continued incompetence of our military. This is not operational stuff that would generally be reported if it were true.

A smart man once said, "The primary function of government is to pretend to fail."
