Russia doesn't get their energy from there.

They can either mine the strait and block oil from reaching other countries or they can attack them with weapons and that means that they will be attacking shipping instead of Israel.

Since oil is a global price this means that the price of oil goes up for all countries if they do block the strait.

China doesn't get all of their oil from Iran so they cannot discount it in order to make up the price hike.

So China, India, Europe, eat the costs.
