Interesting point of view: The Republican Party Fails to Embrace the Paradigm Shift

As much as I want that to be true I feel like the GOP is an unkillable beast that will be dragged kicking and screaming into modern times. It'll adapt to our message, but never embrace it. It'll simply keep coopting any dissident movement, just like the Democrats do (Civil Rights, Anti-War, etc.). You pretend to be their allies get them into your fold and then the constituents stop caring that you don't follow through or only half address the issue, because the other guys are worse.

I want to see the GOP disappear, but I don't share the optimism of the author.

Why now, who has time to embrace when there is so much assimilation to be done?

We are the duopoly, resistance is futile!

I think the GOP is failing to see the big picture. Anyone outside the two party system knows what's going on, but inside the closed doors of the GOP meetings, everyone is crouched down in a fetal position with their hands over their ears, chanting "Hail GOP, full of Grace . . ."

The LP isn't going anywhere... they are piggybacking off of Ron's success in the GOP.

The LP is only advancing right now because someone was smart enough to join into the GOP as a Trojan Horse... I don't understand why all of them don't do it. Our numbers would skyrocket and make things easier for everyone....
