Imagine the scene. Ron sits down across from a battered and financially broke Romney after a bruising Super Tuesday.

Ron: "Mitt, you have two choices. First, select me as your VP and denounce war-mongering and big spending. Or B, I take my young, enthusiastic, donation-crazy 10%-15% of the GOP and run independent against you, assuring your defeat in the general election."

Mitt: "Yes, sir, Mr Vice President."

No way
Ron Paul will be ineffective as VP
I will not vote for Mitt is Ron Paul is his VP

That means I would have to support a flip flopping fraud... NO WAY

If RP has that sway, he should offer the VP slot to Mitt.

Let the whippersnapper wait 8 years.

Hey, it will get RP into the White House.

If Mitt refuses to take Dr Paul's issues into account and refuses to give him the VP slot, he will do so with full knowledge of what comes next - an RP independent run that will spell his doom.

Hmmm.... I don't like Mitt at all. But who do you think is the brainchild behind the Bush administration. I'm thinking Cheney is...

You forget that Ron Paul follows the constitution religiously... and under the constitution the VP has virtually no power at all. I doubt RP wants that position.

I'm getting giddy at the thought of our nationwide 3% being able to spoil the entire election. This is assuming, that RP does not get the nomination, however.

That number will be more like 10% or 15% or higher. And that's just in the GOP in the near future. The sky is the limit for Ron if he runs independent.

nice thing about a flip flopping candidate in this situation is that ron paul could get him to flip right into doing away with the patriot act, the military commisions act, bringing the troops home, and giving us our damn freedoms back :D

Ron Paul will never run as VP under someone who doesn't strictly follow the Constitution and his beliefs, he has said this many times

I know I know... one can only wish he would get in one way or another. I don't have a doubt he could still change alot of things being a very very very smart politician

A little history:

small-government Thomas Jefferson served as Vice President under big-government President John Adams. Adams passed the hated anti-free speech Alien and Sedition acts. Jefferson Came to Power after Adam's termexpired and refused to renew the legislation.

Jefferson ushered in an era of freedom that changed the world, but he had to work within the system to do so. So do we.

No it should be the other way around.

Ron Paul should offer Mitt Romney the chance to be his VP if he denounces the war and starts to agree with most of Ron Paul's views.

So the establishment can shoot Ron Paul and make Mitt Romney president? No way.
