I'm still fumbling with why Rand flip flopped on Iran

I don't get it and I don't see any good explanation for it. A few things keep popping up in my head but I can't seem to settle on anything. I attended a taping of Bill Maher when Rand was on via satelite and all of the liberals there including Bill applauded his stance on Iran and war. I then watched Bill Maher again last night and Bill pointed out the obvious ... Rand has taken a more hawkish stance on war ... The one thing he had going with the liberals. I keep asking myself these questions:

Did he flip flop because he wanted support from AIPAC and Israel?

Did he flip flop because the Republican Party told him to do so?

Did he flip flop because some polls told him he would poll better by doing so?

Did he flip flop because his campaign manager told him to do so?

I really need a good answer as to why.

I'm sure it has everything to do with wining the republican primary. War drums are beating, just look at drudge.

Romney flip flopped like a fish out of water and nearly became the president. Obama has flipped flopped his way into the White House twice. Obviously flip flopping is a character trait the elite are seeking in their sock puppets.

Not supporting Israel is a political death sentence, even for Democrats. As far as Iran goes, we all know who Rand Paul is and what he believes on Foreign Policy. But if he doesn't cast himself a certain way, he is going to be isolated and marginalized the same way his father was. It's sad that he has to do it, but that just goes to show how much work we have ahead of us changing people's minds in the general population.

yeah this just tells me you and others were not paying very close attention to what he was doing here... there was no flip flop.
