Hi all! I've been away for too long. Busy life. My wife and I bought a house and have been fostering dogs for over two years nearly without a break.

I'll post some cute pics to this thread over the next little bit. May they brighten your day. :)

You must have been gone for a long time, the terms "wife/husband" are no longer acceptable.

Welcome! Good to have you back!

Beware, if you say you don’t want Trump impeached, then you will be considered to be a shill bot by one of our posters.

This is our only current foster, Summer. She is a purebred lab and was surrendered from a puppy mill situation. The breeder believed her infertile and thus surrendered her to the local humane society, only she was pregnant with nine puppies. All her pups have been adopted now, including one by my wife's brother's family and one by our next door neighbor's son!

She is beautiful. They are wonderful animals! That breed in particular

Lol, thanks. Impeached would be a small start. I'd rather see him tarred and feathered and then banished or imprisoned. ;)

Hahahahahaha! Well, just as I believed when I heard those broadcast companies boycotting the parade. Namely, that it is beginning to appear that battle lines are being drawn. Lord have mercy.

So you foster different breeds? We are dog lovers at our house. We don’t have pets at this time, but I am happy to see well-loved, well cared-for dogs.

Welcome back.

We foster whatever there is a need for. It's honestly mostly been pit mix dogs of some sort. This is our first time with labs, and first with any purebred dogs. They were terrific.

Baby Benny. He was just a darling. We thought it was pretty interesting that he looked NOTHING like his mom or any of his siblings. We think mom was stepping out.

Mama Emily with newborns. They were born in our bathroom with my wife assisting. I was at work. Poor Emily was SO scared and nervous with any guy, including me, around her pups. But after a couple days she warmed to me and our friend Pat. After a couple of months with us she was a different dog, so happy and spoiled.

About 9 years ago today we mourned the loss of our pit mix. She had been dumped in an alley and our vet thought she was some sort of dachshund mix about 6 weeks old. We had dachshunds. She’ll fit right in. Turns out she was a pit/hound mix that was about 4 weeks old. She was the pony in our dog and pony show. She was very skittish with storms and fireworks. Of course some neighbors had fireworks. She jumped the fence and we never saw her again. She was a good dog and a lot of fun. We miss her.

Little girl Emma. She was one of the hardest puppies I had to adopt out, as she was SUPER attached to me, and me only. Even at the shelter when I handed her to the cute little boy whose family was getting her, she cried and tried to jump back over to me. I made it out of the building without tears, but just barely.
