A 30-06 bullet that the FBI says hit Charlie would blow through not only an elk but the elk standing behind it. It is a high-powered weapon of the kind you need to take down a grizzly bear, which can have a skull the thickess of armor plate. A .30-.06 round at 200 yards penetrates .5 inches of steel.

What hit Charlie hit him from behind, not the front like the FBI says, and it was most definitely not a 30-06. You don't have to know much about hunting to know that. Something just occurred to me. The official story places the shooter on the roof of the building based on sound analysis. But wouldn't that sound analysis depend on whether or not the bullet was subsonic? In fact, I can answer my own question. Yes, it depends on the "supersonic sound crack."



So either we have to rule out subsonic ammo or we have to throw out the shooter placement analysis.
