Huckster is going to Iowa to "campaign" for 2012 within 2 weeks

Yes Romney is also going to Iowa.

We need to convert the Iowan sheeples before these neo-cons talk about "big government and socialism" that Bush started.

It starts now.. and if there isn't a "Ron Paul" candidate by mid 2009 then we'll be behind.

Can someone please setup a draft committee for Gary Johnson or Barry Goldwater, Jr. for 2012? If we can get a few million, that candidate would most definitely jump into the ring.

Goldwater Jr. is 3 years younger than Ron..People will bring the age "issue"...If that's the case than I would prefer Ron over Jr.

what are they going to do? Camp out in Iowa and wait for the congress and Obama to do something then travel across the state criticizing it like some crazy homeless people?

They didn't bring it up with McCain. The only reason I suggest having Goldwater run is because it is his last opportunity, and we don't want Johnson to look like a perennial candidate should he lose, as he is our only other real possibility for a serious presidential candidate.

Yeah, but then he flip-flopped and "endorsed" McFuck..

Can we please ignore the presidency for once? Our collective fixation is not healthy.

Goldwater is too OLD...dang. people are sick of politicians right now..but that's ok...let them all run in 2012...save palin for 2016. I wonder if I'll still be here in 2016? lol tones (will any of us???)

That is because he was the Republican. If you don't know, there is a tradition among families at the head of a party to endorse the candidate of that party. To not do so would mean to be cut off from the party.

Palin? Seriously? The woman who didn't know that Africa was a continent, not a country?

See that is understandable...but not to many Ron Paul fanboys..

You can't keep a movement going without a presidential candidate. We saw that in the General Election. Without Ron Paul, we were able to get one new guy into Congress, and McClintock had outside help because he is the face of the Californian conservative movement, at least when I lived there.
