A post from Huck's Army:

We owe the Ron Paul folks a sincere thanks for offering their vote for Governor Huckabee. Without their support in the West Virginia convention we'd not have won this state.

To those Ron Paul supporters who graciously supported our candidate, THANK YOU!

Ron Paul supporters voting for Huck? Why?

Because RP got eliminated after the first round of voting, so they had to vote for somebody. By voting for Huck it gave him the majority and splits up the delegates even more, contributing toward a brokered convention.

And they gave us 3 national delegates for the trouble.

Any time, Huckabees. Anytime.

We don't want any one candidate to have enough delegates to win by default.

We want delegates spread out so that we can go into a brokered convention. Conventional wisdom says that Romney and Insane McCain will win most of the states, so taking away delegates from them and picking up a few of our own was an amazing tactic.

RP is not playing games.

Grerat strategy Paul and Huckabee. I would sure rather give votes to Huckabee versus the others.

as long as huck doesn't win the nomination... he is a devil in sheeps clothing

Anything to get votes from McCain is a positive action. *puts on a wild facial expression* [insinuation of violence removed - S76]

Personally, I would not support any other candidate. If I could not vote for Ron Paul as a delegate I would not vote for anyone.

Let's hope that they'll do our favor in other states like Montana, Alaska, or North Dakota when we need them to beat Romney or McCain.

Frist off...

It looks like 164 of 176 McCain supporters went for Huckabee.

28 of 118 Ron Paul supporters went for Huckabee.

57 Ron Paul supporters went for Romney.

Another 33 Ron Paul supporters walked out of West Virginia Caucuses in protest.

That means the Paulites delivered Romney 57-28= 29 votes in West Virginia.

Some people were blaming the Paulites in the other thread…but Paul contributed a net +29 votes to Romney.

So this is not the fault of the Paulites. It was the McCain people being organized and knowing to back Huckabee.

Second off.....

If Huckabee drops out he will endorse McCain and all Huck delegates are by default going to McCain...

So that's dumb!

WHERE IS YOUR EVIDENCE FOR THIS CLAIM?
