Looking back at his ideas... he's pretty much a socialist! I found myself sometimes saying "If I had to pick a dem, it would be him," but frankly I wouldn't do that...

I find most of his social policies appalling, but the fact that he at least stands up for civil liberties, which is something almost all others completely ignore, makes him more likeable than most of his.. kind.

His exotic partner may be another story.

Bingo. Because we all know deep down we'd blow even any imaginary chance we might have away. If we can't ever have a decent man for president, we might as well have a total hottie for first lady.

I mean, it's better than nothing.....

I don't support his socialist policies but he at least has integrity. Members here have been plenty critical of him in the past.

I despise his policies, but he openly supports the same things that Obama/McCain/etc actually vote for.

I'd rather have someone tell me they want socialism, than someone who does it behind our backs.

Of course, I'd much rather have some that tells me they want free-market capitalism (and actually follows through!) than them, but integrity should mean something, even if it is secondary.

Dennis K is a true Liberal. Ron Paul is a true Conservative. They don't have agendas like many in the house of Reps., and at the end of the day, all they want is personal freedoms for the people of America.

That's why I admire Dennis, I don't agree with most of his ideals...But the man is a true statesmen and that's whats important to me.

Agreed! I like that he is courageous, true to his beliefs, and entertaining to watch. Unfortunately he is terribly socialist.

People are very critical of him. He is very socialist and very anti gun so on those issues he is horrible. On other issues he is very good. He is anti Federal Reserve, UN, NAFTA, NAU and pro civil liberties. Of the Democrats he is by far the best but that doesn't mean he is great. He is just the least bad of the socialists.

You know.. he met with the 9/11 workers, He tried his best to get Bush impeached, and he had good faith in the American people to not think of him as kooky when he admitting to seeing a UFO.

+ 1

I can't stand his pro gun control views, and his support of socialism is annoying, but if Kucinich were president he would be the 2nd best option to Ron imo. I'd rather have Kucinich as president than Barr, but alas Kucinich is out and so is Gravel so Barr is the next best option. Foreign policy and civil liberties are the two most important issues, and Kucinich gets an A+ in both categories. Look at Singapore, its very capitalist, but you can't even chew gum!

I thought he was okay on civil liberties and had a sensible foreign policy. And he didn't seem to be beholden to corporations, bankers, lobbyist, etc. That's more than we can say for most congressmen. Am I mistaken?

If you are apart of the majority of rural americans that rely on natural resource industries Kuccinich personifies the "kiss of death" (like al gore)....these guys are totally and utterly out of touch with reality (and the press tries to say that Ron Paul is "wacky"!!)

Clinton was bad enough when he met on the west coast concerning logging on federal lands and suggested the IDIOCY of "importing pine logs from NZ" to keep the mills going (when we grow the best timber in the WORLD!!!!). The democratic party has NO CLUE when it comes to rural Americans and natural resource industries as they cater to the idiocy of GREEN hypocrites that consume and live in the modern world.

You know why I don't support Dennis is because America isn't a Democracy.... But like I said, he a true to his ideals and his intentions are for the better.

Guns, the issue of any legislation is unforgivable.

Exactly. The word you're looking for is honesty. Kucinich, like Paul, is an incredibly honest person who you can tell isn't bullshitting anyone. And because Kucinich is honest like Paul, he also is seen as a kook. Dude's got balls too.
