Volunteers: Come join us! This week we will be advertising the convention and Ron Paul by having "Honk and Wave" parties. This is where you bring a sign and stand with a group on a busy street corner during rush hour to advertise your candidate. This is one of the more efficient (and fun) methods of political advertising I've seen.
We'll be meeting twice:
This Thursday, June 7th, 4:30 pm
Where: the SouthWest corner of 2100 South 700 East in Salt Lake.
This Friday, June 8th, at 4pm at the Salt Lake City Library at 210 E 400 S in Salt Lake.
The Friday one will be a "walking" honk and wave, where we will walk around downtown during rush hour to get the message to as many people as possible. We'll be holding up signs and showing our general excitement and enthusiasm to let people know about Ron Paul and the convention on Saturday. You can even bring kids if you feel safe (I'll be bringing my son to this one since he loves being in his stroller and walking)
Bring signs that say "Ron Paul" and any other pro-paul sign you would like. We'll get a banner advertising the convention itself. Bring extra signs if you can so we can have something for people that want to join us. Bring fliers, brochures, business cards, or Ron Paul merchandise (if you have it) to hand out to people who ask what he's about.
I suggest signs like these:
"Ron Paul for Republican Nomination"
"Ron Paul for President"
"Ron Paul saves the constitution" (hehe)
"Honk if you love the constitution"
"Honk if you love Ron Paul"
"Ask me about Ron Paul"
"Google: Ron Paul"
"YouTube: Ron Paul"
"Hope for America!!!"
"Founding Father material"
"Ron Paul Convention June 9 South Towne Expo Center"
"We love Ron Paul because he loves the people"
"We love Ron Paul because he loves the constitution"
Things like that, or whatever you want, as long as it's related to the purpose of promoting Ron Paul.
We'll be going until traffic dies down, so if you plan to stay that long bring a snack and maybe a chair just in case you need a break. We'd like at least eight to ten people each time so we don't look like a fringe group, and if we get enough people we'll split up and go to other locations to get the message farther.
You guys this is going to be really fun. Come join the effort. I'd like to let you all know how amazing this has all been--the movement has been like fire, and Ron Paul is convincing many people to come out of their long sleeps to promote TRUE freedom... this is not something small.
