Honest criticsm of Rand

Such a shallow, dumb comment when he went after Christie for "hugging" Obama immediately after Hurricane Sandy.

So many easy ways to attack CC & this attack just rang hollow to me & many others, I've talked too.

You can do better Rand!

These threads "Rand should do this"; "Rand shouldnt do that"; "Rand must do this that way" etc. are getting tiresome... at least to me.

¸This is not shot at you vita3, just an observation about prevailing mood on this forum:
Such a shallow, dumb comment when he (vita3) went after Rand for defending him self and connecting opponent to Obama after Christie attacked him.

So many easy ways to promote liberty & this attack (on Rand) just rang hollow to me & many others, I've talked too.

You can do better vita3!

When there was attempt to organize money bomb those people were nowhere to be seen...

Personally I think that some parts of this forum (Grassroots Central, Rand sub-forum and some others) should be limited to only those who pledge to volunteer/work on Rands campaign. Currently there is flood of pessimistic threads about how Rand is screwing everything up and Trump threads. They suck life out of this forum.... There is a reason why there is no activism on this forum and why no one tries to change it. It became just another news site.

A way better line for Rand at that moment would have been: "If you believe the bulk collections of Americans' data has stopped a single terrorist attack, well then I have a bridge to sell you."

Someone get that to the campaign.

I live in New Orleans...I know how people needed to be comforted after Hurricane Katrina. I felt the same way about the "hug" comment...in fact, the whole criticism of the Christie/Obama hug was overblown all along in my opinion. People want/need to know others care in that situation. The President represents the nation, and the Governor represents the people of his/her state.... whether people in the opposing party accept him/her or not. It was entirely appropriate for the president and governor to hug or share some other comforting gesture. Those who don't understand that have either never been in such a situation or are just too hopelessly partisan for human empathy.

Good post.

This is emblematic of how poorly the campaign is doing. I would much rather prefer to cheer our beloved candidate had he been killing in the debates and leading the polls. Unfortunately we are concerned with how to keep him in the top 10, so he does not get dropped out from the next debate.

No it is not. It is same shit that was happening in 2012. People have unrealistic projections and expectations.

We all would but expecting Rand and his campaign to be infallible is beyond retarded. Rand didnt make any devastating mistake so far.

People should stop pointing fingers and start looking in the mirror and asking them selfs "What did I do?"....

0% activism
40% Rand is traitor/fuck-up/disaster
20% Trump, Trump, Trump
20% Cops shoot dog/black guy
20% rest

You just confirmed what I said. I hope you are not trying to claim the 2012 campaign was well run ?

This is not enough to win.

Do you have any suggestions on what should we do to offset the campaign incompetence ?

Rand was responding to multiple attacks from Chris Christie.

First, Megyn Kelly set it all up by asking Christie if Rand would be responsible for the next terrorist attack because of his opposition to mass data collection. Chris Christie doubled down and said that Rand would be responsible! (Along with a heavy dose of 9/11!!!) Do you expect Rand to take that laying down?

Rand gave a rebuttal about the 4th amendment without even mentioning Christie, and Christie then said that it was a completely ridiculous answer, mocked Rand, and then said Rand was blowing hot air.

Christie is a disgusting piece of shit, and Rand was restrained in just mentioning Christie's Obama hug. No doubt that comment was out of passion, not a planned attack.

He should have worded it differently. Christie was expecting someone to attack him about the hug and he already had his response ready and waiting for someone to walk into.

Unfortunately, it appears Christie was ready for it.

Are you participating in your local Republican Party, City Council, Dog Catcher Union, etc??

Vote hard or go home

They planned for him to say that, and guess what? based on Facebook's own conclusions it became the top social media moment for the debate while Rand was the third most talked about candidate after Trump and Carson. There are actually people who do this for a living and they may actually be good at it, ever put some thought into that?

LOOLL, no bro. This is emblematic of backseat campaigners, most people with actual campaign experience don't usually post threads on what the campaign should do. It is those who have absolutely no campaign experience who are posting useless threads and complaining about the campaign and what they want the campaign to do.

This seems like a setup. How did Rand fall for it ?

It went over well. Most people that watched the debate understand he was being attacked, and many people liked that he mentioned it.

He could have called Christie "a pig eyed sack of shit", and then had a Twitter contest to see who could guess the reference...

You quoted answer to your question:

People have unrealistic projections and expectations....People should stop pointing fingers and start looking in the mirror and asking them selfs "What did I do?"....

Answer to question "What did I do to help Rand get elected/to advance cause of liberty?" is mostly: I criticized harshly...

Screw this, it is too annoying. From now on I will try to stay away from topics like these.

It would be a lot easier if I could just vote from home using my laptop. Since it is electronic voting anyway, I don't see why Patriotic Americans can't vote harder from home. It could be much easier and appeal to younger people if voting could be downloaded as an app. Diebold should make voting harder a lot easier.

It did not go over well.

There are a hundred plus points Rand could go after Christie for. So, so easy.

Choosing a "hug" comment which was done in the moment of a natural disaster, comes off as heartless.
