To do exactly what Frank suggest in this video. The average voter does in fact vote their emotions, not logic, not issue, but how they feel about the candidate. They don't research much if any, it's a popularity contest.

On Frank Luntz, love him or hate him, he does know what he is doing. In this video, Frank makes some very "Pro" Ron Paul comments on Fox News, and some very "Negative" comments about Fox News. He is actually biting the hand that feeds him, "Ron Paul....deserves to be heard". He even has to clear is throat a little bit before is campaign "advice" to Ron Paul's "Official" campaign, and to his supporters

The title on the youtube video is wrong, he is actually giving "free" advice to Ron Paul on what works. There is still time before Super Tuesday for some really good campaign commercial to be produced, tested and aired.

The two Luntz video kind of makes me wonder if his is a closet Ron Paul supporter working for a Fox? Just a feeling.

Or hire someone like him.

It's all about taking Ron Paul's great message and adding the right emotions to it to leave the average ignorant voter going to the polls "positively" voting for Ron Paul.

I hate Frank Luntz...but aside from his admonition of Paul supporters for chasing Hannity (which I personally thought was hilarious) he brings up some valid points.

I've felt for a awhile now that almost all of Ron's commercials have been sub-par and that the fan made videos on YouTube were superior.

This needs to change. Plus, Ron needs to hire a well known and well respected political consultant.

Really good video, long but well worth watching, I think I'll have to let it soak in a little and watch it again. Frank, is the most well known of the group, but I'd say they are all of the same level at what they do. What I found interesting...I'm going to watch it again.

First impressions; These guys are telling the World what they are doing, and for who, most people just go about their lives doing what they do and will remain totally oblivious as to how they are manipulated. Emotions, subconscious, frames of reality that everyone has in common, personal world views, how to throw the switch between two opposing frames in our brains with an image or a word. Tide.

Many academic are just that, interested in their field and it is all consuming to them. This subject matter is about campaigns and the struggle between two people. Controlling the frame of mind of the group called voters as they pull the irreversible lever, an instant in time. If your familiar with optimization theory, these switches are the controls, the independent variables, used to control the dependent variable. Polling is the data showing the current value of the dependent variable. A control loop uses independent variables to control the dependent variables to get the desired result.

Ron Paul isn't running against any of the Republican candidates, he is running against the media. He has almost no control to throw the switches, $20 million is not much of a control when compared to $20 billion.

Sorry, couldn't find an only copy to link to

It's at the library.

"Voting with the Heart" by Charles Q. Choi, in Scientific American, a political computer scientist has written a program that correctly predicts outcome of polls or elections, given the emotional words used by the media. The words that flip these switches to produce the proper responses in the voters.

He too is an academic who sees how this can be used by a propaganda machine to get the desired outcome of an election. He to seems to be great at his field, thinking it is enough to tell the world about this, so that once you know how your being manipulated you can reason your way out of it. A false assumption with your average person.

In November 2006 election when the Democrats were swept into office, there was a huge statistical anomaly between "Early Voting" and "Election Day Voting", I'm pretty sure this was nation wide. Here in Texas, Libertarian Party candidates had huge percentage increases on Election day, Democrats had an increase in percentages, and Republicans lost large percentages. Something changed between the two votes, Early and Election Day.

The media knows how to flip switches also.
