Hemp due to the fact that it has protein content, high amino acid content, high omega-3, and high omega-6 content make an ideal food for both humans and animals and can improve nutritional value of animal products. Hemp has a lower impact on the environment then grains because it doesn't require the chemical required by grains for production and can be grown in more climates. Animals can sometimes have a trouble with digesting grains due to the starch contents and therefore need to eat more of it. Animals better able to digest hemp would also have less cases of acidosis and less need for anti-biotics. Hemp can reduce the amount of vegetable matter given to animals. People have eaten animals products from animals fed hemp or Marijuana generally seem to prefer the taste. Hemp can also has a well established usage as animal bedding. There are some concerns about the THC content getting animals high but overall these fears are not well founded.
