One particularly radical group is the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD). As reported at Liberty Unyielding, the group does not want to limit cattle grazing. They want to abolish it altogether on public land. So does the Sierra Club, who even has their own “grazing team.” Their mission is to get cattle off all public land.

Now, here is where it gets a bit dense. There are many players and many connections here, but I am going to limit for the purposes of clarity to one Mr. Rob Mrowka. A simple Google search will reveal that Mrowka has been hounding the Bundy family for years.

Some bullet points (in more detail here):

* In 2010, Rob Mrowka of the Center for Biological Diversity(CBD) wrote a letter to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lamenting about Bundy’s cattle and demanded a “designation of a National Conservation Area.”
* Eventually, Senator Harry Reid “proposed to create a National Conservation Area at Gold Butte…”
* Rob Mrowka was cited in a BLM report as someone who “is involved in the Dry Lake mitigation pilot.”
* The “mitigation project” would use the very same land upon which Bundy’s cattle graze to offset or “mitigate” the damage done to land destroyed by the solar company.
* Rob Mrowka, who works for a radical environmental group, (CBD), is also working with the federal government (BLM).
After this author posted Mrowka’s tweets bashing the protesters as “outlaws, anarchists and terrorists,” he promptly protected his Twitter account. His Facebook is still accessible [see photo].

Here is the screenshot of some of his tweets from Saturday, when the BLM seemingly backed down (Rob Mrowka was none too happy):

Rob Mrowka: Why hasn't the gov sent national guard to, back up fed officers & enforce court orders?

Regarding unlawful first amendment use.

I can't stand Enviro-Fascists, the Ultra-Nationalists of either stripe, and the Government-boot lickers. If they mean to have a fight, bring it the fuck on.

Pressure Mounts to Give Emergency Protection to Rare Desert Snail in Path of California Gold Mine :D

When I was little..very little...I used to just find snails and step on them becuse they had a cool sounding crunch. It was just one of those things that kids doi when they are exploring the wilderness. You know? So, now I feel bad.

No need to feel bad, this nonsense has very little to do with "protecting" any damn thing.

It is about getting us all compacted into a Stack - a - Prole housing grids in huge urban centers, where we can all be kept an eye on and properly regulated.

Don't forget the cordoning off of every non-urbanized tract of land in the country. The playground of ultra-rich yuppies, enviro-fascists, and don't think for a moment that you won't get a bullet in your head if you dare act out against this non-sense. This BLM tussle is just the first salvo. They mean to subjugate and if they know one thing, they know goddamn perseverance. Rat-bastards never slink away for long.

You know else plays into this? All the GW alarmists. Remember those reports on the amount of methane emissions from cow farts? Sierra Club nuts I'm sure take that to heart.

Why should private cattle be on government lands? Let private buys buy the land. If cattle people want to buy it, awesome! That's how land works in the Eastern US. The government doesn't need to own most of the land. The government shouldn't even be in the land business. It should only do things that would be extremely hard for private owners to manage. Obviously, land is very easy to manage.

Mr. Mrowka will be handsomely rewarded for his anti-liberty pro-authoritarian pro-collectivist opinions.

Ah, good thread. It addresses some of these larger issues. I think a lot of it is proximity. Washington DC is much too far away to control land control by private interests, so they "own" a lot of land in western states.

Our kids will next be schooled that the cowboy is just a modern fantasy creation, and that it really never existed. A lot of this explains why the western TV show died.

LOL right at the beginning of this mess I told this guy that he is what was wrong with America.

He really pissed this guy off before deleting his account:
